Synopsis

In search of the last model for his painting “Nine Pretty Women”, acclaimed scholar TONG BAK FU (Moses Chan) goes on a trip to Hangzhou with his ardent disciple WAT GEI (Johnson Lee). While there, he meets a pretty young maid from WAH’s Residence, CHAU HEUNG (Myolie Wu). FU is mesmerized by HEUNG’s beauty and martial agility and falls in love with her right away. In order to approach the girl, he disguises as a servant and assumes the pseudonym WAH ON, seeking to win her affections with his talent and ingenuity. But contrary to his wishes, HEUNG is unmoved and even harbours an intense dislike for him after a series of misunderstandings. Master of the family WAH HUNG SHAN (Ha Yu) knew from the very beginning that FU is not a common man. By the time his true identity is revealed, the scholar has already developed a close bond with the whole of the family, except HEUNG. In the meantime, NING WONG (Savio Tsang), who has been attempting to rebel against Emperor CHING TAK (Chris Lai), has managed to involve FU in his conspiracy by stratagem, thus getting the man and the WAHs into big trouble. LING’s daughter CHU TING YUK (Fala Chen) is in love with FU. Desperate to save her dream man, she forces LING to release FU by threatening to kill herself. YUK’s consuming passion for FU seems to have caused a ripple of unease in HEUNG, who is starting to feel a little twinge of jealousy inside.

Synopsis
Setting out on their quest for fame and fortune, three female TV stars of different backgrounds are resolved to achieve their dreams at any price. But after so many ups and downs in their acting careers, they finally come to discover the secret of true beauty.
Driven by sheer vanity, Ko Ching-man (Kate Tsui) takes part in a beauty pageant despite the strong opposition of her mother, a long-retired actress named Cheung Lai-hung (Kingdom Yuen), and leaps to stardom soon after winning the championship. Rising actress Cally Tong (Sharon Chan) feels threatened by Man and decides to join another TV station to look for a breakthrough, which is not supported by her production assistant friend Deacon Chong (Chris Lai). Leading actress Keung Chin-fung (Christine Ng) used to be a bitter rival of Hung. Realizing that Man’s acting career is taking off at top speed, Fung means to approach her as a mentor, through which she hopes to drag the girl into her moral downfall bit by bit. Desperate for everlasting beauty, Fung injects herself with botox in an attempt to slow the aging process. But things do not really go as planned and her face starts to change in shape. Her advertising deal with a cosmetics company is subsequently canceled and Man has soon replaced her as the new product endorser. Even the Award of Best Actress, which she has won for years, is slipping out of her hands. To vent her anger, Fung seeks to extract revenge on Man, finally plunging her into a world of pain and trouble.

Synopsis
While the saying “Like father, like son” holds true for most fathers and sons, it does not for CHOR FAN (Chan Kam Hung) and CHOR TSZ (Ng Cheuk Hai, Ron). There is a world of difference between their personalities, manners of dealing with people and even goals in life. FAN is an out-and-out 60’s person, whereas TSZ believes he is well ahead of the 21st century. A thought-provoking time travel modern comedy, A ChipOff the Old Block reminds audience of the Chinese saying “Man is not born to greatness, he achieves it by his own efforts.”

TSZ is accidentally sent back from the 21st century to the 1960s. He befriends his father, who is a young man then. FAN puts TSZ up in his place, where TSZ comes to know the stingy KO SHAN CHEUN (John Chiang), who runs a noodle stall, the shrewish landlady TAM LAN CHING (Gigi Wong), the argumentative CHING LAN FUN (Shirley Yeung), who later becomes his sweetheart, and LEUNG PIN PIN (Nancy Wu), who comes from a rich family. TSZ is always abusing and offending people. Other tenants, especially corrupt sergeant NGAU CHING WING (Yuen Siu Cheung), hate him very much. Except for FAN, who always defends him and even later introduces him a job at a department store. In the 60’s now, TSZ however is as flamboyant as when he is in the 21st century. He finds FAN being too old-fashioned and kind-hearted. He almost makes other tenants homeless once, and he tries to destroy FAN and SO FUNG NI’s (Myolie Wu) relationship. Plot Outline:The results for Roger Kwok and Sonija Kwok’s series “D.I.E” were ideal. It became 2008’s highest ratings series. Last night, T V B had Stephan Chen lead a special celebration banquet for all the hardworking cast and workers in Tseung Kwan O. During the banquet, Stephan announced that there would be a sequel to “D.I.E”. Stephen knew that Roger was going to be a dad soon so he made arrangements for the series to be aired sooner. The series reaped the rewards of promotions so he made special s to Roger and his son, Brad. They released pictures at the right time with the media.
Roger expressed that he doesn’t want to have a son in the sequel because he is afraid of filming scenes with little children. He also has to look at everyone’s schedule because he would be filming in mainland China soon. He will miss his son when he films in mainland China. The reporter asked if he would consider naming his son “High Ratings” Kwok. Roger said: “Actually, I already personally gave him a Chinese name. His name is 郭令山. The character 令 means to lead others. The character 山 means to be stable like a mountain. I choose the name and hope that my son will have everything that we give him. Hopefully no one objects to the name.”
